Oh yes

Ups and downs, smiles and frowns:)
Well, today I received a couple of lovely things in the mail.
Finally, I was motivated by a recommendation by a mutual Tom Robbins fan to make a purchase of a new book, and well I can't buy just a book, so I finally picked up one of the cds on my wish list.

here's what came in the mail today:

DJ Spooky Presents In Fine Style

(also:my loan check for my music business classes! oh yes, I am momentarily not poor, now to pay it back;)
a modem that I need to send back, no wireless=no good!)

I am so happy with my new cd! The monkey and I were dancing around the house, anything that makes her shake her booty, is a worthy purchase! If you know me at all you should know that my true heart is reggae music. This 2 disk set has all kinds of loveliness on it. It will be in high rotation for a while! Much respect to Paul "DJ Spooky" Miller, this is just what a lonely girl needed. Oh, the horns I will always love them. Check out this double cd if you can, it is worth every penny.


I will leave you with a poem from my new book by Hafiz. Quite deep, although it is a translation (by Daniel Ladinsky), that must be so hard to translate poetry, that is an amazing skill.
